This was great! The tutorial made me want to try Voltage and set up BTCPay correctly. I tried some older version on Umbrel, the new UX with left sidebar looks much better.
  • @Voltage, it was still quite a bit of steps and jumping around for Ben to create 2 nodes and connect them. Would it be possible to get a single click solution? "I want a new store with POS app enabled, here's a name of the store" that directs me into the "BTCPay POS App" config view immediately? (I know that for privacy/password reasons that may not be possible, but how close can we get to the ideal?)
    • Do you have a way to get liquidity for my LN node automatically? (In the tutorial Ben mentioned sharing the onion URI and getting channels somewhere outside)
  • The BTCPay Checkout window feels kinda outdated. Also, it should default to LN if you have LN node associated (or do the BIP where single QR can do both onchain and LN).

BTCpay server is open source software that allows anyone to become a Bitcoin-accepting merchant while removing middlemen. This video walks through how to set up your own BTCpay Server and accept on-chain + lightning transactions, with the help of Voltage - a cloud lightning infrastructure service.
