yes, things are only going to get worse...
the idea of humanity as good is the kind of bs we tell ourselves
data tells us otherwise - the more humans, the more idle we are, the more "connected" we are, the more tech we have, the worse everything is getting
idle in the sense of warped onto non-essential tasks (ie survival) and thus free to invent more stuff like tech enablement
connectedness is a force multiplier because it allows us to collaborate (or manipulate) others to do more evil shit
technology is a force multiplier, so we're just getting more efficient at doing evil shit
AI is the product of humanity's ingenuity, and might well be the end game - it's probably the equivalent of nuclear energy discovery in terms of force multiplication of tech
... or maybe not, maybe i'm just a product of the doomsday social and everything will work out just fine, just pass me the joint...
AI certainly enables us to create bigger and badder evil shit, but that's where I think Bitcoin comes in: to align our incentives healthily and productively.

how i earnestly wish that were true. but bitcoin doesn't fix it all, and it might well be the lubricant for AI to wrap us in a cozy and suffocating cocoon of convenient delegation
