So I'm getting my hair sorted out, just generally tidied up and I asked for them to install a fishtail plait. The stylist then said oh like the Viking look? To which I responded yeah, exactly like that. She proceeded to tell me how she loved the whole viking theme of things and shows etc. Prior to this part of the conversation she was telling me how she was intending on watching a live stream of a Metallica concert later. So I asked her, has she heard of Viking metal? To my surprise (considering her preferences) she said no.
So I proceeded to give a comprehensive list of Viking or battle themed metal artists with my personal favourite albums of theirs.
Here's what I got. What would you add??
Amon Amarth - Twilight of the thunder god. (Any Viking metal list missing this needs to really take a look at itself.) Brothers of Metal - Prophecy of Ragnarök Turisas - Battle Metal. Sabaton - The Last Stand. (Not particularly viking sure, but still very much battle themed). Payton Parish - Rise of Vikingr. Windrose - Wintersaga (look, dwarven metal or mithril metal 😉, may not be viking, but it's battle themed enough for me.) NanowaR of Steel - Stairway to Valhalla (pushing the limits of Viking/battle theme... But their gimmick is just too funny to miss out on.)
Non metal but still viking themed.
Heilung - Lifa Wardruna - Runaljod - Yggdrasil
What would you add to this for the Viking/Battle theme?
Not viking metal, but The Sword's first album had norse themes so it's probably tangentially related

I'll take a look see at that thanks for the suggestion 👍

Not Viking metal but Sabat’s ‘Blood for the Blood God’ is a great battle tune.

Cheers I'll give that a go!

I can't seem to find it on Spotify. Have you got a link? Blood for the blood god comes up by various artists but I don't see Sabat anywhere.

Apologies - my bad typing - try Sabbat ‘Blood for the Blood God’ on YouTube.

Anything by Manowar.

Yes. Somehow missed them off the list. Manowar - kings of metal and warriors of the world are some blood pumping tracks that I love.

Judas Priest - Lightning strike Judas Priest - Never surrender

Can't go wrong with Judas Priest. In that same vein, iron maiden - the trooper

Not at all. I'm new to the bitcoin community. If you walk into an environment and identify people who have good knowledge to share. Shut up and listen when they start sharing it is what I think :)
