Okay, so I've heard people say that you shouldn't open channels with people that you don't trust. (Now whether that means Lightning is actually trustless... Is another story.) (And if this is the case (that Alice and Bob are friends)) Couldn't he just wait for Alice to come back online and continue transacting?

Open multiple channels with different LSP and nodes.
That have more advantages: mpp, privacy, less fees, better reliability etc.

I wouldn't forward sats just for a link I posted to someones content. This post isn't just a link though, it's hotlinking images from a 3rd party. This post could have been a link to Nitter/Twitter post, but it's not.
Hotlinking the content is considered bad practice in the web community. Despite the attribution at the bottom, copying/hotlinking content with only saying "someone else made this" isn't generally fair use.
