Linux/BSD on computer, and GrapheneOS on mobile is pretty much the only way to have full control of your own devices.

I think in the future hardware vendors will start to remove the possibility to run alternative OSs, and that's when we will need some kind of open source hardware. RISC-V has a lot of potential.
