Mainstream OSs like Windows and macOS are getting more restrictive in every iteration.
They make it really difficult to create a local account only, and they are restricting more and more the applications you can run in them.
And it's all because of your "security". Seems like the real world is slowly getting into the OS, you know?, all this erosion of privacy from governments, because of your "security"...
At least we still can run open source OSs like Linux , BSD, etc, but I can see that at some point they will make the hardware locked to the mainstream OSs.
I wonder if using a RISC-V CPU, the open source instruction set, would be actually a good way out of this nightmare.
