As a Swedish person (with more than one medical doctor sibling, working in the field—both of them btw got COVID and had mild symptoms) I can provide some context for why we went this route, even when our usually politically aligned northern neighbors didn't. Norway locked down. Denmark locked down ("0% deaths!" laughable.)
-
Why didn't we lock down? Because we had very recently been through a very similar situation, where we saw the dangers of mass hysteria. Specifically, our Infectious Disease Expert Anders Tegnel, who had just been traumatized by his role in the recent Swine flu epidemic (2009) in Sweden, during which he led the charge of mass vaccination which led to hundreds of children developing narcolepsy, was still in charge and trusted. All this is basically hear-say, but I'm writing it to give you an inclination as to why Tegnell and the Swedish people were "inoculated" against COVID mass hysteria.
-
My sibling doctors reported a ridiculous "only-for-show" mask wearing (even when on zoom conferences, for christs sake), and more importantly, there was a heavy pressure to label anyone who died WITH covid, as dying FROM covid. If you know anything about how complicated death of old people (and they were always the ones dying, like we clearly saw in Italy which early got hit HARD because the elderly live with their families there), then saying "oh it was just covid" is about as dishonest as you can be. But those statistics were needed for the funding to work.
As a personal note, I never noticed any lockdowns AT ALL. We perhaps had a couple sick leaves from work. There were no masks. No fights. There were some curfews, but I don't really hang out late anyway.
I'm proud of my country for sticking it out, for trusting Tegnell, trusting the science instead of the mass hysteria. I think we will all be better prepared for the next pandemic when it comes (not just sweden, and not just because all the old people died :))

This is so interesting.
Let's hope Americans (and others around the world) also learn this lesson against mass hysteria.

Even the neomarxist Canada, of martial law and financial censorship infamy, didn't lock down their school children. Shows you how broken the teachers unions are in the United States and the power of the pharma lobby

Summary:
Sweden took the most liberal approach to the pandemic of any country and had no lockdowns, didn't close their borders, didn't force closure of any schools, and had no mask mandates. Individuals social distanced and masked in ways that made sense to them. Sweden suffered a similar number of deaths to their Nordic neighbors that used stringent lockdowns, and even fared remarkably better in some areas. Their economy is doing much better than other European countries and saw no drop in children's test scores. Overall, Sweden proves that the lockdowns used in most of the world were completely unecessary to fight COVID-19

It proves nothing.
The whole thing was a scamdemic. There's no virus!
The only virus was communism in people's minds.
You all have been fooled to believe that.

The response was a scam
The virus definitely was not, I personally had it twice (didn't take any experimental vax)
Whilst I don't support forced lockdowns or jabs, I respect others rights to voluntarily engage in those things.

Covid-19 was/is a real virus. The response was genuine, the vaccines are safe and effective. The lockdowns were way to harsh in retrospect but humanity did not know that at the time.
This is not "brainwashed", this is just simple facts. Sometimes reality is just really boring but it's the truth.

I'd agree in everything except that humanity did not know at the time. The WHO has had recommended plans on how to address a large scale pandemic like COVID for years and lockdowns were never even considered. Experts in many countries were actually convinced to support the lockdowns by the politicians they worked for, not the other way around. The public may not have known, but many other people did

LOL you are totally brainwashed to believe that.
I suggest you to read Ed. Bernays book "propaganda" and also watch this excerpt from it and you will realize how you were fooled to believe that a killing "virus" exist and you were "infected".

With all due respect, there was a real virus Darth. Whether that was manufactured in a Wuhan lab by a subcontractor of the CIA, I have no idea, but the virus is/was real. The response was bullshit. Masks, lockdowns and vaccines had no effect to stop it. But the virus was 100% real, and many, mainly overweight old and unfit, people died.

I personally took care of more than a few relatively healthy 30 and 40 year olds and a few pregnant women who spent 1-2+ weeks of high flow nasal canula who could have died if we ran out of beds/respiratory support.
Thankfully, as I always tell patients, I have not had to call ICU about a crashing COVID patient since February 2022, after the first Omicron wave. It used to be an almost daily occurrence prior to that through Delta waves. Things have gotten a lot better.

So pathetic to have only contrarian edgelord opinions for the sole purpose of being against what other people say.

How do you know that his sole purpose is being against what other people say?
He seems like a successful Bitcoiner and given a previous comment from him earlier today is building a literal self-sustaining citadele in the woods by himself. You calling him pathetic and accusing him of trolling seems more pathetic IMO
