What could go wrong, right? This is exactly how happened with the smartphones... humans will never learn the hard lesson.

Could you expand?

Ah it was more in reference to AI in general, not specific to self hosting.
Yeah got it.
reply
What happened?
reply
I don't care about AI. I don't need this shit on embassyOS. What I want is a compatible version of Robosats in the start9 service repository so I can accumulate non-kyc. I guess it's time to learn how to sideload a service.
reply
Hah ran into this a couple times lately too 😅😔
reply
While I like to keep my node clean and Bitcoin only, I can see this becoming a thing for LN nodes, especially the cloud nodes if you can crunch some AI queries for people and earn some sats like what GPUTtopia is doing, could be another avenue for income and routing fees
reply
It'll be interesting to see if the Start9's and Umbrel's of the world add an app to throw compute at GPUTOPIA or something equivalent.
reply
Yeah me too, I mean to each their own, you chose the risk-reward profile you are comfortable with, I mean how far could this go? Selling GPU power could be one, selling storage space could be another, being an oracle for certain data feeds could be another, all monetised by LN
reply
Well, installing... we'll see.

Has me a bit concerned about running it next to a lightning node......
reply
Haha in what sense? The AI becomes sentient and steals your funds? 😁 Or attack surface?

reply
Hmmm thanks... I wonder if the Embassy Pro can handle running it all.
reply
Maybe, some plebs are saying that they dont see the Stable diffusion app yet. Not sure if its because they have concerns over throwing both models on the less powerful/older/diy servers.
reply
No Stable Diffusion XL models are currently supported.
sad panda
XL is such a big leap up from v1
reply
A prompt appeared after installation, warning me that the model uses alot of resources which could potentially interfere with electrum.
The prompt also said that I should click buttons slowly.....
reply
Start9 does well.
But, yes, I will not put this on the Sovran Pro.
