I did mention something like here. Not sure whether or not it'll be taken up. I agree with not replicating GitHub's functionality in SN.

No. Github is the place where all these technical stuff is tracked and discussed.
You can ask here first, as courtesy and then go and make your issue, code, PR whatever.
