It happened a little in the backyard but it happened: big words, NO action and the end of neo-colonialism is in the air:
French President Macron has announced the withdrawal of troops from Niger after a recent coup. This decision follows troop oustings from Burkina Faso and Mali due to anti-French sentiments and challenges against jihadist terrorism in the Sahel. Macron also noted the imminent return of the French ambassador from Niamey. This shift comes after the military junta set an ultimatum for France, and while there are currently 1,500 French troops in Niger, prospects of France supporting an ECOWAS intervention seem unlikely.
The consequences:
The junta announced the new price for uranium (therefore the presence of the french military in the country) from former 0.8 to 200USD/kilo.
More fire on Europes burning energy crisis.
Let's hope that this departure from France is for the best for Niger, but unfortunately, I doubt it.
Other forces will come and take France's place and they will unfortunately be even worse.
Russia is already rubbing its hand...

Disagree here, there is Russian forces exploiting Niger now.

Ok. Change of forces. But at least they make some business with them.

Oh. Now, if there was private military contractor who could take part-payment in natural resource rights now would be a good time for them to move in….

Did you hear the speech given by the President of Guinea, Mamadi Doumbouya? Impressive

You too. Is your holiday over?

Ah by the way. You were interested insides of the political machine, right? Three to four days ago a witch hunt began within some larger organizations and unions of business owners. Leading cyrcles are forcing members of the public relations teams of the organizations to reveal their active political contacts, aiming at those who have contacts to the right-wing party AfD. We are investigation who exactly was the initiator... lovely, isn't it. It's called guilt of contact in Germany.

Interesting, I wonder if this has anything to do with the growing sentiment in Europe with concerns over the EU's continued support/financial backing of the war in Ukraine and anger about how the sanctions against Russia have backfired to hurt people in Europe through rising energy prices (among other things). It's been a while since I more closely followed German politics, but I would assume that if AfD are anything like the party they were when I used to watch some German stuff (I remember watching speeches by Alice Weidel, Alexander Gauland, Gottfried Curio, I forget the others) then they are probably opposed to the sanctions on Russia and against the funding of the Ukraine war. So it would make sense for the organs of the state in Germany to go after people for ties to them, it seems only natural after they already made more overt moves against them trying to do an "anti-terrorism" thing, no? Disgusting either way.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that the same is happening here in the U.S. I dont know anyone on the inside who could tell me.

I told them to f.ck themselves. It's getting worse by the day. I got cancelled with two articles on Germany's economic downfall.

Congratulations to you! That cannot be an easy thing to do. You get punished for speaking your mind, even if you speak the truth.
