Nice. I'm looking forward to the colder weather. I haven't reached the age where NYers are required to migrate south for the winter yet.
In 1989 we went to NYC - in December! Maaaaan, windchill like jumping into a pond of ice.

The wind does get to me. There's nothing like cranking up your wood stove and listening to it howling outside. Right now I am looking forward to it. I'll be complaining by November.

I can't blame you. I have visited a few times over the years, but just quick visits. Practically I'm limited to Florida for warmth and sunshine. The clichés are accurate. Florida is for the most part the land of shopping malls. The nice places are few and far between.

As a European and man of silence I really didn't get the ''Miami vibes'' when we where there once. Maybe we are used to living in between ruins over here...

Nothing very old anywhere in the U.S. The political climate is of course better in Florida than in New York. I do toy with the idea of relocating, but there are obvious tradeoffs.
