It's Sunday Funday! Thus it is poll day!
I started watching football at 9:30am today. That can't be healthy.
The NFL seems adamant on international expansion. What would you like to see them do in terms of expansion?
Two teams in England.0.0%
One in England. One in Germany. 16.7%
A four team European division16.7%
Mexico City + US city0.0%
Mexico City + Toronto50.0%
Two US cities 16.7%

I'd rather see them move two teams to Toronto and Mexico City, but those are the best markets to expand into.
If they expand, I'd like to see them beef up the USFL/XFL and Canadian League into a new lower league and adopt a relegation system.
reply
Which teams should move?
reply
The two LA teams have the lamest fan bases, so I'd look at them first, but with that new stadium there's no way they both move. Jags and Panthers seem like decent options, too.
reply
Agree on the LA teams. When SF plays the Rams in LA 3/4 of the stadium is 49ers fans.
reply
At least SF is really good every year. Yesterday, it was about 2/3 Raiders fans in LA.
reply
I vote no expansion at all and just move teams that don't earn any money, like the Jags, somewhere else in the states.
reply
International division. Mexico + Toronto + London and Germany.
reply
I like this but the travel will be insane.
reply
Hadn't considered travel. Just figured the skill level would be around the same for the divisional games. It does then mean that one team wins a division and is very probably gunna get spanked in the first round of playoffs. But I'm not sure howelse you'd incorporate international teams. The next thing about Int'l teams is drafts, will players want to go to these teams? Lower class facilities? 100/1000s of miles away from home. If the do do an intl NFL I think they need to keep it separate from the US for a while.

Anyone in here remember NFL Europe? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I remember playing Madden thinking who are these teams and why are the so trash ๐Ÿ˜‚
reply
I had some gear from them, they trained at a local high school. Pretty neat!
Amsterdam admirals, Frankfurt galaxy. Those are the two teams I remember
reply
I have some NFL europe cards that someone gave me when I was a kid. They came in a collectors set box and I don't think I have ever looked at them.
reply
I remember those days
reply
I sweated out that Eagles OT
reply
Whew same
reply
That was close. When the Commanders tied it I had flashbacks of my Ravens defeat last week. Not again!!!
I was pleased on both fronts Eagles won so I didn't get eliminated but they didn't look very good so I feel confident, provided they stay healthy, 49ers can get that number seed in NFC.
reply
I threaded the needle. I needed Commanders to cover in another pool.
reply
Is Jacksonville really playing in London two weeks in a row? How did that happen?
reply
Apparently their owner also owns an EPL team so he likes them playing in London.
reply
TIL! Thank you for that. I would hope they just stay in London for this entire 2 week stint and don't travel back and forth
reply
I believe the announcer said that during the broadcast.
reply
Are you watching the Toy Story version?
reply
Is that what the london nfl games are called?
reply
Lol canโ€™t tell if youโ€™re serious or not
reply
I am serious. I have never heard that reference before. I just looked it up. I am curious now, I am going to see if I can get that broadcast here in Canada.
reply
Unfortunately only available on TSN plus streaming service which I don't subscribe to. I will see if there are some videos of it on youtube. I want to check it out.
reply
Ah yes. I have it on Disney Plus. Itโ€™s neat, feels like watching the old backyard football computer game
reply
We have disney plus as well but they aren't streaming it in Canada. TSN has all the NFL rights here so you can't even watch the Amazon prime games on Amazon, I have to watch it on TSN. I do get the CBS and Fox games on their normal channels though.

Saw TD highlight on NFL youtube channel. Looks awesome. My daughter would love that. Too bad we don't get it.
reply
Soooo broncos gunna be hurting a whole loada people outta the survivor pool
reply
Really? Why would anyone bet on this terrible Chicago team? They've lost 14 games in a row.
reply
Think people mighta been betting against Denver. But I don't remember seeing anyone actually bet that way this week.
reply
No everyone moved on this week. Someone even survived with the Vikings. Shocker. I did say it was guaranteed win week.
Actually I feel pretty good about my prognosticating from week 4. I said the Vikings would win. I said Miami's garbage D would get exposed by the Bills and that the 49ers would dominate the Cards. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
reply
Suddenly the Jags look like a great team after decimating the pool last week. I thought about picking them this week for a revenge game but the international game plus time difference had me skeptical.
reply
That was karma for so many people trusting the Jags.
