I like the article, but ... are people really at a low point, psychologically? My sense is that things have turned around already. It's like the vibes he's talking about happened, but months ago.

I really only posted the link because I wasn't expecting that bitcoiners perspective from a non bitcoin publication. Bombthrower is covering bitcoin often recently. I wondered about whether people are down too. I feel like I'm immersed in bitcoin circles like SN where price is rarely front and center anyway. That may not be the case on say, reddit or twitter.

I think I read that Wallace commencement years ago. I like that Eskimo story. You citing this, combined with a post you made earlier today about the danger of assuming your perspective is correct with dogmatic certainty, reminded me of this line from Yeats' Second Coming: The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity
