Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.
Saddle on up to a stool and spill the beans about your day, fire away with them questions, or let loose and give us the lowdown on your wild and woolly life. We're all ears, so don't hold back!
We're open round the clock, so mosey on in whenever you please!
Whoever is generating invoices on my alby account to send me 11 million sats, you have my permission to send! Lol

If I had a local coffee shop, the first thing I'd do is figure out how make my cups stand out. I'd probably make them red. Cold drinks would be in red tinted plastic. Hot in red paper cups. I'd guess it'd be well worth the non-significant extra cost.

Time is always flying.
reply
I always imagine the time as an infinite line (that is not not moving at all) and we are the ones moving on that line. We are the flyers on the timeline.
reply
I love that! I think that's the correct way to view it too
reply
The most interesting part is how each of us could find a way to fly faster, or at least have more interesting experiences in this flight.
That's why sometimes you feel like "time is running faster" than normal. Is just a perception of how you are flying a bit faster than others. Is like a magic wind pushing you.

My streak has officially ended because I traveled to Berlin early this morning but I didn't feel comfortable with the "exercise everyday" part anyway. As mentioned, I in fact did not exercise everyday but had to rest sometimes so that part started to feel dishonest.
I'll think about a better streak to maintain until the end of time. Maybe really just make it about getting up early? And getting something done before 10AM for example? This could include exercise but could also be something different. Like reading a few pages, playing piano, working on SN or on my prediction market.
But I also want to move the time forward over time... Then I would need to update the streak to keep it challenging.
Maybe don't make a streak with a fixed text but just post everyday how I am trying to improving my life slowly but steadily, day by day, and just number each entry? I liked writing the short text below the streak everyday the most anyway.

I thought you meant you cowboy hat streak ended. I got disappointed for a second lol

Seems like I want to start a diary but that would be too personal for SN.
So I'll do one on my own at the end of day and just post a short not so personal and private description to SN how my day has been so far when the saloon opens. Basically how we all are already doing it kind of, lol
I went full circle

Any good article about stacker news to onboard people to it ?
reply
  1. The Zen of Stacking Sats On Stacker News - by @siggy47
  2. The Art of Using Stacker News - by @Natalia
  3. The Story of SN - is right on the bottom of SN page.
If people, after reading these articles, still don't get what is SN and how to use it, then they don't deserve to be on SN.

Nah, we moved like 6 months ago. Our new place is super quiet on a relative basis.
The power went out the night before at 3:30a and my neighbor freaked out outside and woke us up.

The fuck part got me off guard for a bit till I got the context

I read this slightly wrong 🤣 I'm glad you got a full night's rest.

Almost evening sir. Enjoy the journey, bear market, because the bull market will be insane.

Good morning gang!! Thursday is here aka little Friday, the weekend is just around the corner so that means we've got to step it up and bring our A game to the table, it was a fast week now, started a tad slow but now it feels rather quick, let's see what the tide brings today and don't worry about tomorrow, live the present and always be thankful, don't forget that, so thank you, thank you, thank you for being awesome and I wish you a phenomenal day, may it bring you lots of success and profit!! As always, be well and stay frosty.

Getting ready for a short, overnight road trip to visit old friends. As usual, I'll get some ribbing about the bitcoin price. I can't win. When the bull run starts they'll want me to buy dinner.

Big & Little Lebowski Part Deux ??
reply
Lol. Classic friends and family antics. I just ignore people during a bear market. They will also act like they were right but then they get humbled during bull markets. Enjoy the road trip!

Yep. I don't take it too seriously. It's all in fun.

Not that familiar with Nic Carter’s thoughts… Max Kaiser goes properly off the deep end around Bitcoin being a gift of the gods though!

⚡️ Fun things of today ⚡️
  • LUD-18 Go to SN wallet to withdraw to any address you'd like, and then you will see the new option of leaving the name or e-mail. Basically, no more guessing who sent dis for the receivers; But this could also mean others can pretend to be anyone when sending messages, always verify things.
  • Mention autocompletes you can @ anyone so much easier now
  • Cross-posting Whenever you post something here, you then can cross-posting it to nostr, it's hidden in the "options".
reply
Thanks for posting this Natalia. It's a handy guide.

Thank you for sharing. If I had the option, I would have given you a gold star. You are awesome!
