Feature request: option to archive seen posts

I love to have empty email list. The same great feeling could apply with empty stacker.news page.
I looks like a marginal function, but it takes actually significant amount of focus to repetitively scan through almost but not exactly same page.

We could explore this further together with a more "immersive" notification system where notifications are not on a own page but actually in the same feed as posts as mentioned here.

I'm also a zero inbox kind of guy. Neat idea!
The motivation is to quickly determine what you haven't seen. I've been kind of backgrounding this class of features recently because it seems underexplored, ie how can the community give you more value in less time.
Do you have any thoughts on how this sound work in finer detail?

I would try to replicate just the behavior in the mail application.
  • Swipe the component left could do the work probably. 

  • Or simply add icon on right side that would hide the post on click?
  • Or Slack has introduced interesting behavior recently. When you click on the message and then press esc the message disappears from Unread section.
