A web app that plays audio from youtube links added by users (max length 10 minutes). You'll be able to paste a youtube link, make a lightning payment of amount specified by you and your link will get added to the queue (position based on the amount paid).
It's quite a simple idea, but I wanted to build something on top of lightning and also learn svelte along the way. I'll make the code open source when finished.
Expect a beta in 2 weeks! (optimistic estimate)

Here is a discription of what we are building right now.
Noderunners Radio is an interactive radiostation. Use the Jukebox Bot to add music to the queue.
What we achieved:
  • We want the crowd to be the DJ. Our Jukebox Lightning Bot* makes this possible.
    Not only for Radiostations, but also for live events, venues, bars and pubs, businesess, you name it!
  • You want a three channel silent disco for your #bitcoin meetup, conference of festival? We got you covered!
  • No BS talk, no adds, just fantastic music from Noderunners around the world!*
Our ultimate goals:
  • Get this thing to FM and internet Radio protocols
  • Get it going during live events
Tune in via our zap.stream or radio.noderunners.org.
You can find the unique basic web-interface for the Lightning Jukebox Bot of Noderunners Radio here. Additionally, you can listen to the Radio via our Telegram group here.
You can even spin up your own Radio with our Jukebox Lightning Bot!
When you do, you will get your own unique web-interface!
Ask for help in our TG chat if you need it, or just come hangout and play us your favorite pieces of music!
It works very well for parties, pubs, or wherever else you want folks to have acces to a Lightning enabled Jukebox Bot. GREAT FOR ORANGE PILLING FRENS AND FAM!

  • Getting the bot to nostr

  • Getting some dedicated hardware for streaming the Radio
  • Making the Lightning Jukebox Bot more modular

  • Integrating with Wavlake with the Jukebox Lightning Bot
    So musicians get their fair share of sats paid to the Jukebox
We have started FOSSing the Jukebox Bot (we may make a seperate project page for that).
Please bear with us while we slowly add more things to the Github page. Normie life and the dirty FIAT-mines still take a sizeable chunk of our lives.

We are expanding to support live music and artists in another project called Sesh.

Cool project. This is a real-life jukebox? Have you thought about making it an auction, so that you can jump the queue by zapping? The game theory behind that one would be fun, in addition to the lightning part. I bet you could make a mint in a bar.
Well, maybe the right bar, like Pub Key, or xpub.

I'll make the code open source when finished.
As a coder I think this is great. More of these open source projects to demonstrate how LN can be used is a great way to get more coders doing the same thing.

I would love to help out and get this off the ground, I have a lot of ideas as this is something I've been wanting to create for a while, I've just been restricted by the fact that I'm solo and have had a bunch of other things going on in the past.

or perhaps some people have a more automated setup where they just like pay from their node whatever LN QR life presents them, lol :)
haha yes, or maybe they just don't have any funds in their SN wallet so they pay an invoice every time
