You ruined the whole article just with that chapter of "LN + XMR Swaps"... sad, really sad mentioning shitcoins as a technique.
reply
Now you made me curious to read it 😃 It is barely mentioned at the end and as an alternative only. It doesn't even explain how to do LN to XMR swap.
reply
these are kind of sneaky techniques to insert crap into articles so the readers will not notice, like subliminal messages.
Also I like the hypocrisy talking about privacy but the whole website is asking to accept cookies from google analytics... LOL if you respect your readers privacy then why do you add cookies?

Hello DarthCoin,
I'm truly impressed with what you've done with the Citadel and your website as a whole – it's truly remarkable. I appreciate your recommendation, and I'll take it into consideration. As @quark mentioned, it's included as an alternative at the end, but it's not my preferred solution.
Regarding cookies, I use Google Analytics solely for gathering user base statistics. It's the only cookie the website utilizes, and you have the option to either accept or decline it, a practice I follow to comply with European regulations (GDPR).

a practice I follow to comply with European regulations (GDPR).
hahaha and you talk about privacy but you like to comply with the state ruling over you. How about tell them to fuck off, is not their own business? Who is "european regulation" that can rule what you do on your own website? Why do you need to gather user statistics? Are you sell it? Is that website a commercial site or a informational site?

Monero and BTCLN are complementary

XMR is superior privacy to LN. Not even debatable. Cope.

Virtually zero use of Lightning in highly adversarial environment DNMs. Closest thing to a free market possible. You must know better than those with ultimate skin in the game. Reciever privacy sucks. Balances discoverable. IP not hidden by default. So private!
-https://voltage.cloud/blog/lightning-network-faq/lightning-network-privacy-explainer/ "The lighting network still falls short of the words of Eric Hughes in his “Cypherpunk Manifesto”. While at first glance lightning seems more private than layer one payments by taking payments off-chain, one has to consider how lighting enables these off-chain payments in the first place to understand how users’ privacy might be affected when using the network."
-https://blog.keys.casa/lightning-privacy-101/ "There is a misconception here, however, as private channels are not private in the sense that they are any more confidential than public channels."
-https://arxiv.org/pdf/2003.12470.pdf "We identified 27,183 private channels, discovered hidden balances, and showed how a passive adversary can infer payment endpoints with very high probability."
