As LSP, what channel policy you would apply for public and private channels ? Is it different for a public node than a private node?
On public channels, routing fees and max/min htlc sizes can be used to steer payments in one or the other direction. This is very helpful.
Private channels on the other hand don't need that and can just have a static fee, maybe based on usage patterns.

I don't think I have a direct answer to this question. It all depends on a lot of factors. Generally speaking with our customers we have no fees or incredibly low fees on private channels because these are generally end users of a noncustodial mobile wallet.

I mean definitely should be a different policy between public and private channels.
If you open channels with users of private (mostly mobile) nodes, and they do not use so often those channels, for you as LSP is not so profitable to keep them forever open.
But by pushing them a bit with specific policies, you could also have them moving more often those sats in channels, in and out.
With public channels is obviously not a big deal because you know that they will move those sats anyways, even if they are just a middle man in a routing.
We have to inform users that over LN sats must flow and not just stay in a dormant channel.
