I managed to avoid the University of Colorado Buffaloes hype for weeks despite the fact that they always seem to be featured on TSN (canadian espn) on Friday/Saturday nights. So last night, after the whole family was asleep, flipping through the channels, I see the Colorado v.s Stanford game is on, so I start watching. It's the second half and I believe the score is 29-12 Buffaloes at this point, which I later discover was 29-0 at halftime. Anyways, needless to say what a train wreck. It was somewhat humorous to see Deion grow increasingly pissed off on the sideline and the Buffaloes D coordinator was going apoplectic. College football is a wild beast man.
Today, I also wanted to highlight that the Bitcoin baseball team are preparing for their season. I am sure you are all familiar with the Perth Heat that play in the Australian Baseball League and their very immersive adoption of Bitcoin (even have the bitcoin logo integrated in their team logo in some branding- not on the game jerseys or hats but you can buy bitcoin versions of the jerseys and hats). If you want to learn more about them you can check out www.perthheat.com.au
Last year they made it to the championship round but unfortunately lost. They do offer an online stream of their games and I did watch a few innings of a couple games last season but they are usually occurring around 3 or 4am est so even when I did make an effort to catch the early part of a game I usually fell asleep after a couple innings. They do a couple interesting things through their twitter account where they let you tip players sats after big plays and when they steal a base the team's twitter account puts up a QR code that allows you to steal sats from them for a brief period of time. Neat idea.
I hope to try to catch a game or two this year. Looks like they are playing some home games at 10am awst on Sundays (which would be 10pm Saturday night est).
ABL is a short season. They play 40 games over 10 weeks playing one opponent 4 times in a round (series) each week. After the season the 4 top teams face off in a semi-final and then top two in the championship series. The entire season including playoffs will take place between mid Nov and early Feb. (12 weeks total).
Hopefully you will join me in following the team this season. I will provide periodic updates as the season approaches.
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Let's go team BTC 💪💪

Something to look forward to since the Vikings season will be over by mid Nov. Ouch.

Mid November??? You've more faith in them than I do 😂

I'll catch a few games when I need a break from the Jets' Super Bowl run.

I was talking about this season not the 2043 season.

Laugh now, my man. When Purdy is laying on his back after another Jets sack in the Super Bowl you'll be singing a different tune.

In this scenario, the 49ers found a way to not blow or suffer catastrophic injury during the NFC Championship game, I think I will take it. You can have 6 sacks and I will take my chances that our D can stop Wilson (or Rodgers back too soon from injury) and win 13-10.

All shall soon fear the Zach attack.

Must be Islanders game day, Siggy is pumped up.

Partially. I'm also trying to avoid the horrifying middle east news.

I hear you. Isles picked up the win last night.
