The inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament begins this Friday and I'm going to host a casual survivor pool for it. Basically, the winner will get at least 5000 sats, but can get more if these posts earn more than that. If I win, I just keep whatever sats these posts raise and make fun of the rest of you.
The tournament has seven Group Play rounds, followed by three playoff rounds. That should be enough to tease out a winner. However, in the event that multiple people are still alive heading into the championship game we can have a tie-breaker. I like the idea of using MVP predictions as the tie-breaker, but even then we would have to use something like final spread if everyone got the MVP pick wrong. Let me know if you have cool tie-breaker ideas.
The Group Play rounds are played on Tuesdays and Fridays, so I'll make the posts for our picks on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
What does everyone think about these terms?
Let me know if you're interested in participating.
I haven't watched an NBA game in 15 years. I know nothing about the NBA. Therefore, I'm in.

You'll be fine, but here are some updates you might want: Seattle and New Jersey lost their teams, Charlotte stole back "The Hornets" from New Orleans.
Otherwise, most of the teams that used to be consistently good are still good.
