I though it would be exciting and fun. But I think I'm wasting my time.
Basically there is no community traction. Only a couple of core OG (ICO investors lol) are there to retweet each other. As with all shitcoins, there is a company (a "foundation", lol) keeping it alive for multiple years now, thanks to their ICO. Once a week, a couple of dudes meet (including me) and decide of the overall long term direction of the project, and share updates and insider info. Funnily enough, many projects built on top of the network, or around it, are ran by those same dudes. Transparency is only "something we aim for", not something built in. Most of our block producers are under control, they do what we asked them to without asking. Even most exchanges relies on our block explorer (lol). The end goal for the project is clear, yet after many years it's still to be seen if it will even be useful. They will probably have one last hype/pump moment, before being forgotten like many other shitcoins.
I did not want this, but I still need a paycheck. I want to build around Bitcoin. Ethereum is clearly failing, yet a couple of business oriented dudes think they can do better?
It's hard to find something really focused on Bitcoin (so many shitcoins job offers). I'm still young, maybe I should just move on already, go back to video game or something. At least people are real in there. I'm a software dev by the way.
Thanks for reading my rant. Hope to see you again at 100k.
