2017 This was the year that everything changed for me, and what was the year that changed for you?
I bought some bitcoin in early 2018, but it changed my life when my mom needed dialysis at the beginning of covid. My mother was afraid to sit there alone as she got her treatments. It was full crazy New York lockdown, but the wonderful dialysis techs let me sit next to her while she got her treatment. She mostly slept, while I read about bitcoin on my phone or listened to podcasts with my ear buds. It went on for months, with me gradually needing to wear a hospital gown, but they let me stay. I did a lot of smash buying from that room!

Congratulations on your courage, you are an honorable man.
reply
Courageous? No. I didn't feel brave or anything. Honestly I wasn't really terrified of covid. What it gave me was the ability to have leisurely hours to just focus on bitcoin. It was the ultimate luxury.

It changed the most in the past year ( so far ) How Bitcoin Changed Me 🧡

I'm following you here on SN and I've already read this post, it's really an interesting story, maybe I'm just not ready to live in a permanent city, not yet. but who knows?

Many times in many different ways.
I would say one of the most incredible ones was when I suddenly became disenchanted with storing wealth in any financial instrument that's not Bitcoin. Because all of them (bank accounts, bonds, stocks, real state ownership, you name it) are just IOUs from corrupt and rigged systems.
I still hold other things that are not Bitcoin because I don't want my family to face financial apocalypse if Bitcoin fails. But that's strictly the only reason. Otherwise, I would be all in in Bitcoin.
It's funny how you start out looking at Bitcoin like this risky weird thing, poking it with the 'only invest what you can afford to lose' stick. And then, at some point along the way, things abruptly flip and you see things the other way around.

You are living the meaning of BTC, congratulations friend.

After hearing about it for over a decade, 2022 is when it clicked
bitcoin = freedom
reply
Congratulations, there are few who actually live this freedom.

It didn't really change anything for me, but I learned a lot. I changed a lot of things about my life and started to make lots of money, but that had nothing to do with bitcoin, so number up doesn't really interest me much.

It all has to do with the purpose within you, but in some way he was of help to you, I'm happy for that friend.

2016 was the year I tried BTC for the first time. 2017 I gave the opportunity to all my clients to pay for my service with BTC, only one was smart enough to tried it.
reply
And you loved that attitude.
reply
2022 - when it went on sale and I realized the fiat I was holding was becoming worthless. Also, that's when I found out the banks are not your friend if they think you are buying Bitcoin.
reply
You're on the right track, keep going.

2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 I'm assuming the same will happen for the next few years as well. But I'll have to admit 2023 hit pretty hard.

It really didn't work out, but the forecasts are good, you always have to believe in the protocol.
