I've been trying to convince my boss to pay me only in Bitcoins.

Nevertheless, he seems too blind to get it. So, I'm quitting job this month, not necessarily to be employed by somebody else, but rather to become my own boss.

And after I'm well settled, I will eventually employ people, and I will be paying in Bitcoins only.

Sounds like a crazy idea, but I'm very certain.

Nice idea. Be free, stay strong.

What business are you going into?

reply

Non-gmo chicken store. Live and fried. Everything in Bitcoins.

reply

Chicken is a shitcoin. It is seed oils with wings. Similar fatty acid profile to canola oil and far less micronutrition than beef. Sorry to ruin your dreams.

reply

The chickens already exist at my farm.

reply

...oh, man, that's like a guy who wants to mine bitcoin, and already bought a bunch of GPUs ;)

reply

That's awesome man. I wish you the best of luck

You fucked up. Bitcoin companies that pay in Bitcoin are doing something similar to Strikes "pay me in bitcoin" feature. I think other platforms allow you to do a similar thing. Basically instead of buying Bitcoin directly, Bitcoin is bought automatically. The benefit is you are buying before taxes hit your paycheck, but you are not being paid directly in Bitcoin.

You can sign up to any service like Strike and get the exact same experience any employer currently offering to pay in Bitcoin will provide. You didn't have to die that hill and should have done way more research and had about a thousand times more patience with your boss.

I did the same thing in August. Turned my life upside down. Mining fiat in the normie world to buy bitcoin isn't a bad approach. Going solo is a rollercoaster. Buckle up and brace yourself for a lot of ups and downs if you do it. For me, it is too soon to say if I would do it over again.

more power to you friend. at least you made the decision and are out there. so many will never even try. its one of the hardest things and you win either way.

reply

Appreciate that, thank you friend

reply

Wish you the best with your new start.

Curious though, did you try incentivising him with a discount? If you’re so set on receiving Bitcoin, there’s usually always a number that the inconvenience would become worthwhile. Especially if it’s his own business.

reply

The catch is, he too doesn't own the business. And if he's so stubborn to get it, it's doubtful he can convince his boss who's so rooted in the fiat system.

reply

Be a freelancer.

reply

Very nice suggestion. Really want to be free and independent

I'm very certain.

protip: you'll need to embrace uncertainty if you want to be your own boss ... the most naive self employed people convince themselves they can see the future so they don't have to live under the market's finicky guillotine. If you're serious, I recommend developing a tough neck.

Go follow your dream!

It will be tough, good luck. Later, lets us know your progress.

reply

Use your fiat you earned to buy bitcoin. What’s the difference?

reply

I like it. Exactly what I'm doing with a percentage of my earnings

reply

what kind of business will you start?

reply

Non-gmo chicken store

reply

Does he even know how to use btc?

reply

He just doesn't show any interest. Not willing to change his mindset

reply

Good luck with your business, and I hope you make a success of it, and that it brings you more bitcoin and a lot of joy doing what you believe in
