I live in New York, where the political sentiment against bitcoin mining is very strong. I'm sure the banking industry is bankrolling a lot of the fud. Oh man you're in the belly of the beast when it comes to FUD'n proof of work, They will deploy as much of their rentseeker capital to keep it out, plus you've got the ESG crowd there, it's not really as big here in Africa.
I guess I'm a bit biased since I want to the upsetting of the order and things flipped and institutions who rentseek or can't live in a proof of work backed system to feel the pain and change or get washed out.
Even if that's the case where I live and we continue to ignore bitcoin (which I think will be the case), I accept it, we must feel the pain.
