I want to help a small content creator (YouTube) begin accepting donations in BTC. He's not familiar with bitcoin but is interested in accepting donations. What would you recommend for him?
My first thought is a simple Strike account or Wallet of Satoshi.
The simplest way to receive donations is to insert a LN address into your YT channel details or on each video details you post. With just one click viewers could send sats using Alby browser extension. You could use Alby with their custodial account or link it to your own node.
Or check this guide about LN Address: https://darthcoin.substack.com/p/getting-started-lightning-address For a full comparison of LN wallets check this guide: https://darthcoin.substack.com/p/lightning-wallets-comparison

Yes, Alby for YouTube... just like this video :-)

Stack sats with the following:
  1. Add @getalby address to youtube profile - address in description triggers LNURL
  2. Set up LNBits and use #tipjar extension https://github.com/lnbits/tipjar
