Would be great if we had these metrics, a lot of analysts are only looking on the main bitcoin chain and I think over time lightning is going to become more and more key for seeing individuals adoptions.
Does anyone know if a lightning node has the ability to see all or most transactions that are taking place on the network? Or can they only see a transaction taking place when they are one of the nodes in the chain?
This is an impossible task. Why?
  1. Because we have public and private nodes. Public nodes could be seen into LN explorers, private ones are not there.
  2. In order to achieve this task, ALL LN nodes must publish their activity... and that will be the end of privacy.
So please stop with this stupid request.
