The presidential race in the United States is already under way and 2024 is going to be wild to watch. In the midst of an election year and an incredibly chaotic macroeconomic environment, Bitcoin will have its halving. What will the political environment be as Bitcoin takes on more and more of a role in the lives of more and more people? Where do politicians come down on things like self-hosted wallets, no KYC/AML, Operation Chokepoint 2.0, Coinjoin and Mixing? I'm not aware of any presidential candidates addressing these things in detail, except Vivek Ramaswamy.
