This was fun to think about! Okay, I’m surprised that companies have not utilised the Lightning Network to conduct guerrilla marketing yet. They could announce to the public to be on the hunt for a specific number of QR codes scattered all over the city on public transport, shopping malls, amenities and so on. So, as you scan a QR code, you will be rewarded with some sats and required to read/watch an advertisement by the sponsoring company. Participants who manage to scan all the QR codes will be treated to even more sats as a bonus. I guarantee that the use of the Lightning Network will spike because it appeals to people’s competitive nature.
As an educator, I wish some companies engage students as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. Students who submit something they learn to a cloud platform will be rewarded with 21 sats as a small token of appreciation for their learning. I guarantee that youths’ motivation levels towards studying will increase since their submission will be viewed by others. Also, they get to earn just by studying. Who can complain about my logic?
I'll offer a little critique. While I've come to be suspicious of any big corporation, their responsibility is to provide a good or service, and the employment that comes with it. This notion of "corporate social responsibility" sounds like this merger between fascism and Marxism. Aka BlackRock. On the other hand, the notion of a carrot for demonstrating learning seems valid. I would like think that some puzzle would have to be solved to resolve the QR code or something like that, in order that plagiarism is avoided.
