Some people do, but the absolute majority stubbornly refuse to change their habits even if they lose 10% in the transfer.

I can't believe this isn't bigger news. The U.S. is basically forcing Russia into default status on loans because they can't pay with the specified currency (usually USD).

Putin has already noted Russia's competitive advantage in bitcoin mining. Things could get interesting.

Countries and people do not willingly adopt Bitcoin. They need to be forced to do so, such as by sanctions.
