How long it may take for bitcoin to become the standard. There are many reasons for this but I have found that with all the talk of time preference many of our fellow bitcoiners do not appreciate how different our world view is from the majority and how deep the fiat brain rot runs.
Bitcoin dominance will happen but the only way I see it happening in the next few years is in response to financial collapse in the US. Otherwise it will be generational. I have tried to change my perspective to generational thinking. Too many of us focus on getting rich vs preparing the way for a better world. A more free world.
It probably wont ever feel totally "hyperbitcoinized" in our lifetimes. For the real full swing in psychology too, that'll take decades, maybe a century

That's the way I think it will work out. And I'm OK with that. We were out today and I'm reminded of how long it took for people to shift to shopping online which is really a minor change.

There is a case to be made that it will happen much faster than we play out still though. We're thinking linearly, based on past history, but the rate of change is growing exponentially.
Shopping online definitely took longer since it required people to also adopt the internet first and foremost. Word got around much more slowly prior to the internet.
Bitcoin on the other hand already benefits from having a speed-of-light communication network up and running, and adoption is thus taking place much faster
Hard to tell how quickly/slowly things will actually speed up. With AI entering the equation too, I think we underestimate how much impact that will have in driving new tech adoption

True, could be gradually then suddenly.
