Who can confirm this as a safe solution?

I'm always very skeptical of this ready-to-go privacy solutions, as you never know what else could be included without your knowledge. I'd rather buy a phone, wipe it and install things myself.

If DIY is not your cup of tea, ask a shadowy coder friend to help set up something for you.

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on a phone like this, but it seems like a real leap of faith. I would be curious if any SN'ers have experience with this or other "privacy" mobile os's.
