There's a lot of strongly held skepticism towards Milei. Obviously, almost all of us would like him to end their central bank, but I don't sense much hope that he'll be able to do anything.
The machine will run right over him. Same way they ran over Trump.
Maybe, but I think that's why he's paying lip service to Americas foreign policy priorities.
Didn't he already walk this back or at least in the near term?
Did he? That's funny. It would be a great validation of Horton's Law: Politicians break their good promises and keep their bad promises.
My mistake. He walked back dollarization. They are still saying shutting down the central bank is "non-negotiable".
That's a bit of a relief. I eagerly await the showdown.
If he walked back dollarization, what's the replacement plan for the central bank? Not that he has to have one, I'm a Ron Paul guy so "replace it with nothing" is a perfectly good option in my book.
