This is something I noticed doing myself even here on Stacker News, surely I'm not alone since this is basically human nature.
The posts I click the most are the one that get me curious about what's going on or are topics I'm interested in.
This in itself is not a bad thing, you're just seeking what you like, yet sometimes it feels like it's manipulative on the human mind, even if it wasn't meant to be due to the click-bait.
This made me think, if I want a post to be seen by most would I need to write an headline that trigger people's interest? It's surely not mandatory but I think it could help.
This seems to happen even with content specifically made without seeking profits, try looking at big charity projects, the one that get the most impact are the one that basically "sell" themselves, sometimes even losing credibility as all the goodwill put in it feels like a weird advertisement gone wrong (Ignoring bad actors with ulterior motives).
So I'm asking y'all reading this post, Why are you here?
