For years I raw fed my American Bulldog. I would buy meat directly from a large butcher shop. Lately I feed human grade food, but I really found the raw meat kept my dog healthy, with few allergies. The only downside is the mess. I had to break the bulk meat into meal size portions. It was a lot of work, and you had to be careful handling the meat.

i've always just done high quality kibble. bowser is my 3rd great dane, and i also had an american bulldog before that. so i've had multiple large/giant breed dogs at multiple vets, and that has always been their recommendation.

Yeah, the raw food is hard core. My AB had bad allergies. I tried every high quality kibble before trying raw. It worked. The reason I feed human grade meat now is that it's a small local company and I know the owner. Vets hate the raw food idea! My vet discouraged me.

Whenever we fed raw meat to my son's last dog, we always noticed she quickly suffered with terrible diarrhea.
We gave up when we saw the connection.

Really? I never had that experience. Obviously not for her. Here's a guide to raw feeding, if anyone is interested:

It's true. I like em both. Most favor one or the other.
