Cool, thanks to @birdeye21 for creating this territory.
TLDR: I went on a hike to Panorama Ridge with my wife, saw some pretty nice view, took some pics, and here are the pics below the wall of text.
I got into hiking back in 2014, but mostly go on solo hikes, and occasionally with a buddy of mine. I treat hiking as a form of exercise and don't mind repeating the same hike over and over again. In fact, I used to take weekly trips to the Grouse Grind when the trail is not closed due to winter conditions.
In 2020, when everything got shut down, nature did not close its doors. Since it was the only thing left to do, other than throwing rocks at empty bottles in our garden, my wife got into hiking as well. The thing with my wife is that she likes to try new things and does not like to repeat things; at least not repeat it too often. Being lucky enough to call beautiful British Columbia home, we have hundreds upon hundreds of mountains and trails all within a few hours of driving distance. As such, I went on and saw many many more different trails and views, and thought I could share some here on SN.
I hope to make this into a series and share the different hikes that my family and I had been to. To start things off, I would like to share our hike up Panorama Ridge back in October 2021. It was the time of year when fresh snow had just started to fall and to accumulate at higher elevations, but it was all clear in lower elevations, such that the parking lot was still accessible. We were lucky because it was a clear day with perfect visibility. I actually went up Panorama Ridge in the summer of 2018, but it was raining and foggy with zero visibility. So I was very thankful to be able to see the view after such a long hike up, because it really sucks to hike 15km and gain 1610m elevation to see the following view, then having to hike another 15km back to the parking lot.

We usually hike with all 3 kids, but because this was a difficult hike and I did not want to carry my little one for 30km 1610m elevation gain, we left the kids with our sister in law and went by ourselves. Here are some pictures from the hike.
