A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.
~ Proverbs 11:1
I have used this verse and then explained how the Federal Reserve works. People's eyes glaze over when you start to talk about the Cantillon Effect.
I have also talked about censorship resistance and the examples of people with dissident views being locked out of the fiat system. This will happen to Christians in some places if it isn't already.
Curious what approach others have taken. I don't preach at people but if the topic comes up or if I'm asked about bitcoin I never miss the opportunity to enlighten people.
I do recommend "Thank God for Bitcoin" for those that are interested in learning more.
I start by saying that I'm morally committed to the message of bitcoin. The fiat system forces you to steal from your brother. Anytime you take out a loan, you devalue everyone elses dollar for your own gain. Sure, the system is built like that, however, now that bitcoin exists to oppose such sin, we are morally required to explore the most viable option for our brothers sake.

An unjust weight and measure... A dishonest system. This is what most people do not understand. They do not understand how it all works. They think it works like It's a Wonderful Life or something.

Interesting take. I dig it. Thanks

I recently read "The Bible and Bitcoin" and the author highlighted Proverbs 11:1 in the first chapter IIRC. I highly recommend the book if you're searching for better ways to talk to believers about Bitcoin! https://thebibleandbitcoin.lifegiverchurch.net/

I find that most are fairly receptive because there is not much trust in government amongst Christians here (I live in California)
I noticed that the younger and the poorer are also more receptive, while the older and the richer are less interested.

Younger are more receptive for sure.

I find discussing the Protestant Reformation helps.

In what way? I guess I'm missing something.

Central banking and the Vatican have a lot in common. They're central nodes that siphon off value from communities at the margin.
That's not necessarily to knock on Catholicism. I grew up Catholic, and am Protestant now. I just think economic incentives underpin most things, Luther's included.

Gotcha.

Hey my bro, I wrote a book (The Bible and Bitcoin) that has a study guide in the back. I recommend buy a few and start a small group through the book. I orange pilled many at my church using it. If you'd like to buy a stack of books with Bitcoin I can give you a discount. Let me know.
