After 6 days, at a broadcasted 19.3 sats/vB force close on a dead node, my transaction cleared while the block median fee was ~372 sats/vB: https://mempool.space/tx/1b452bc2f1f28ac10e526ba78a9475e2b33d8ca3d34484b2a920436d71aacb4e
I thought I was going to have to rebroadcast my transaction: https://mempool.space/tx/1b452bc2f1f28ac10e526ba78a9475e2b33d8ca3d34484b2a920436d71aacb4e
I was worried that it would be pruned and not included because mempools were purging such a high minimum, but ViaBTC came through for me and pulled my sad little txn (I'm one of the little blue blocks).
I feel a lot better about managing my node knowing that some miners are going to process real useful bitcoin on-chain transactions during this time of insanity.
Is ViaBTC the blue dots or is that something else?
reply
ViaBTC is the mining pool. The highlighted blue blocks are the ones that were included in the block but were not expected to be included based on payment priority. ViaBTC included them in the block template for some altruistic reason rather than optimizing for the highest paying transactions.

Reassuring to see this, working as intended.
