My purchase I regret is a futurebit full node. It was way to expensive for the value I got from it. The whole thing died after a year too. Id just stick to hosting your own node and miner separate and get better benefits.
breedlove wasn't the only one to fall for the BitClout scam of 2021...I put $200 BTC into it and bought Soulja Boy coin and Elon Musk coin LMAO #RUGGED. I'm too embarrassed to do the math to remember exactly how much bitcoin it was back then...... :(

YIKES! I got rugged multiple times in the shitcoin world.

A Butterfly Labs ASIC that never arrived.

Thats the worst!

There was another ASIC attempt back then that I ordered within a couple of days. I don’t remember the name because it was just some kid in CA I think. I think I got reimbursed for that one… it was a mess back then.

I hate sites like these cause makes people want to spend btc less. I understand if you goal is long term. But if you want to spend it 1 sat is 1sat not 1 sat = x usd. Plus I am always replacing what I spend.

Its just a visualization of consumerism. There’s indeed a lot of useless shit represented at this website. I don’t think the authors meant to convince you to live in a hole and hunt for living.

I was coming off a bit harsh. Just was thinking as someone who would want to use bitcoin might think twice cause of seeing this. Do agree though it does help atleast put save now vs spend now in your mind.

i was the first one to pay for bullsonwallstreet.com in crypto. it was a lifetime subscription. My account no longer works. I emailed them and they said they have no record of me paying. It was like $1200

Wow thats terrible. But does bring up the point how does a company keep track of that if the purchase is supposed to be anonymous mostly...

I guess any shitcoin bought with BTC would be a valid answer to this question.
reply
True that. But usually bought my shit coins with fiat. Now dont touch the shitcoins lmao.
reply
I never purchased something with Bitcoin yet...
reply
Shoud atleast do it once. Mean whats the point if you hodl but never learn how to spend it lmao. Just helps you learn what people are working on to make payments possible.

Don't regret spending BTC to buy something. If you didn't spend-and-replace, that's on you. It's not the fault of the item/service that you bought or the merchant you bought it from, which you should be excited if they even accept BTC in the first place.
Spending BTC is using the network. The best way to learn about Bitcoin is to use it.
reply
This is my exact opinion. But this thread is also for purchase you regret related to bitcoin. So can be services or bitcoin merch lmao.

That makes sense, and in that case, my regret would be paying for any hardware wallet without spending the time to learn about DIY-ing one myself, like with SeedSigner.

They are all good purchases as they aid in #bitcoin adoption.
