One theory I believe
The two main political parties in the United States of America, private organizations beholden to its corporate structure, captured the government long ago, and has since also captured the election system. They work in collusion, as organizations, to continue their duopoly upon the most powerful nation on the planet. WWIII started decades ago, maybe with the war on terror, and the two parties are terrified they will lose their stranglehold on world hegemony with what seems like continued failures in every country we regime change to save them from oppression.

The Moses thing isn't really a "conspiracy theory" is it?
reply
Have you read the stories? people push that stuff off as history
reply
"the stories"? You mean the Torah/Old Testament/Hebrew Bible?
Yes I've read them.
While they relate stories that are supposedly thousands of years older, they took form in writing around 600 BC. That's pretty old. I don't see how continuing to tell them is a "conspiracy." Is retelling Greek stories and myths a conspiracy?
reply
I don't know anyone retelling greek mythology for the purpose of imposing a cosmological world view onto others. Those stories though...people are still fighting wars using these stories as justification. how is that not a conspiracy?
reply
I don't know what you mean by "people" here. This may be true for the Jews or poorly educated/ignorant Christians, but no Christian that is highly conscious of their religion actually takes anything in the Old Testament as literal truth. It is the mythology of Christian faith. Like most myths, probably rooted in anectodes or other (often "pagan") legends but often wildly exaggerated. Meant as a teaching, not account of history.
reply
I know many Christians who believe in a literal interpretation of the stories of the old testament. Most of them think more about Adam and Eve in the garden of eden than the implications of Moses coming down from the mountain with the ten commandments, but they exist and they are many.
