It's cool to see how all the puzzle pieces are starting to fit together. It would be great if there's a way for @kr to ask the questions here at stacker news, but that needs (imo) a separate product experience (maybe sub) to not spam everyone, but only kr's followers in some sense.

Looks like the author of the article fell for the misinformation from the anti-bitcoin propagandists.

A transaction on Lightning uses the exact same amount of energy as does an on-chain bitcoin transaction -- zero!

The amount of energy used in bitcoin mining has nothing to do w/ the number of trxs.
