Great idea. Let me pick your brain. Just a hypothetical. In a hostile jurisdiction, is it possible to set up repeaters in a stealthy manner that would mask the location of the repeater? I would guess not, right? Are portable, mobile repeaters practical?
S2underground is an interesting channel to explore, especially the old videos... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTq1zHztiV69Ur8t6jco4CQ

Now you're talking. I haven't listened yet. Is this pirate radio oriented, or specifically repeaters?
reply
repeaters would be distinctly easier to geolocate due to increased power and static location. If you have a mobile setup and use radio discipline for brevity, it's harder to direction find you. That being said, if you're broadcasting a whole lot of power, spy satellites will easily geolocate you. low powered localized mesh networks might be optimal if you're trying to do a pirate radio of sorts. But you don't need to be under the radar to practice! Practice in the open with the normies. :)

You calling me abnormal? :)

if you're a Stacker, you're deviant from the majority, so yes. :)

I accept the compliment.

It's about the basics of detecting the origin of radio signals, applies to anything that emits a radio signal... I recently found this channel, it's a good entry point to be aware SIGINT techniques and from there dig deeper downthe rabbit hole :)

SIGINT is spooky stuff. Ask me about it sometime if we meet in person.
