I dunno, I guess I never felt anything "positive" about being charitable. In fact, sometimes when being "kind" I feel like I'm doing a disservice to people and robbing them of a learning experience.

I can see what you mean about some charities, but not all. Like disabled veterans. I don't see most of them needing a learning experience. Kids with cancer who's parents can't pay the medical bills. Again, I don't see a teachable moment there. Also, you don't need to focus on charities. Just holding bitcoin can make the world a fairer place and level the playing field.

The fact that both need assistance is a teaching moment for a society and government that has abandoned care for those who need it the most.
By helping them, I free the government from feeling the responsibility or the people from feeling the need to change the government.
