Blockchain has an option to send BTC to a domain. I tried putting in my stacker.news lightning address and it said invalid. Who can explain this for me, what the benefits/cons are, and if it is.cost efficient/similar to lightning at all.
Thanks!
Let's just agree to ignore anything developed by exit liquidy VC shell companies and VC exit liquidy main pipeline advertising platforms.
The alternative is giving them unmerited free attention

blockchain's domain system exists entirely within their own network - it does not speak to anything else. when you use their service, they are just assigning your domain to your account in their database. their app cannot recognize your stacker.news address, because they are not using lightning.
Lightning Addresses in contrast can be self hosted if desired, and actually run on Bitcoin.
