It's been over a year since I initially posted this Looking for a lightning dev for web app project ⚡️ on Stacker news🎉
Our platform is still going strong after we won the BOLT🔩FUN - Legends of Lightning ⚡️ Tournamnet and I wanted to remind everyone that we can help you with your last-minute Christmas Gifts.
As a quick reminder Lightsats was built to help all of us onboard new users to Bitcoin via Lightning in a more interactively and effortless way.
With that being said I wanted to remind everyone that we have the ability for you to print physical Bitcoin Christmas Cards with a QR Code that users can scan to claim their Bitcoin.
This is one template we have for a Bitcoin Christmas Card, you can also customiaze them to any design you wish.

Here's the whole user flow for you to understand both from the tipper and the tippee side:
Tipper Flow
- Start at: Lightsats
- You can authenticate via your Lightning Wallet (LNURL-auth), via Email, or SMS
- Click on "Create a new tip"
- Select Currency, denomination (Sats vs Fiat), quantity (You can create multiple ones and fund them with a single invoice)
- If you want advanced options you can click on the "Advanced Options" section to expand for the following options:
- Choose the type of onboarding you want:
- 🦔Standard: The user can authenticate via Email, SMS or a Lightning wallet if already installed.
- ⏭️Skip: No authentication needed, the LNURLw will show on the page load, the user does not have to authenticate and will not go through onboading.
- ⚡️Lightning: Authentication can only be done via LNURL-auth, for a more privacy focused onboarding, user will need to download a wallet first before they can authenticate, go through the onboarding and withdraw their sats to their custody.
- Add your recepient's name and a personalized message
- Select the lenguage you want and which wallet you'd like to recommend to your recepient
- Once you create a tip you can fund the invoice and set an expiry date, by default we have it at 21 days for the tip to be claimed and withdrawn, if not it will be reclaimed back to you and automatically withdrawn back to your LN Address if you have one one your profile.
Tippee Flow
- Depending on the onboarding experience, let's say you chose the 🦔Standard option, once the user scans the QR Code on the Christmas Card, they will be redirected to their dedicated landing page with your personalized message for the funds to be claimed.
- Once they authenticate they will go through this onboarding flow, to claim their sats, have a little slideshow on "What is bitcoin", a wallet recommendation screen, once the wallet is downloaded they can withdraw their sats into their custody. (Hint: The second last screen has a loaded LNURLw (2285 sats) up for grabs)
