Swan Bitcoin had someone speak at their conference who was known to have raped children age 4 and 7.
Here is the article documenting his sentencing of 10+ years, which Swan should have known before they hired the guy, but given the company is run by a former full-time shitcoiner for 3 years, it is not surprising they don't do due diligence. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/seattle-man-sentenced-to-minimum-10-years-in-prison-for-molesting-neighbors-daughters/ 1
Swan has not yet taken him down from speaker's page:
Wasn't exactly how I wanted to be vindicated, but I expect this won't be the last scandal from Swan following the very long list (multiple data breaches, screwing over customers allowing for scalping 10% spreads, using a scam company for their backend that they barely got out of since Cory is college buddies of the CEO behind that company, and then choosing a new backend run by same guy, and whatever else I'm forgetting).
It may end up looking increasingly bad for you if you don't distance yourself from them. Get a job somewhere that pays market rates. You aren't doing anything to accelerate adoption by working at Swan. Stop LARPing, just earn more, and hodl.
Swan NEVER HIRED OR PAID Peter Ansell. He was an active part of the Cafe Bitcoin and Stackchain communities. He was a guest on the Spaces stage and appeared as a guest on Cafe Bitcoin live from Pacific Bitcoin.
Regarding process from Cory on TwItter:
"Definitely a good idea to add a solid Google search into the process for evaluating potential panelists and speakers at conferences, and we'll do that going fwd for PB.
Not realistic to do that for everyone who might talk on Spaces, but we're going to do a solid search on anyone who's becoming a regular."

Thanks, yes, that is why I said speaker in title. I may have accidentally mistyped something in post to contrary. Don't think I can edit it now.
Thanks for sharing Cory's tweet here for myself and the many other people he has blocked on twitter.

there should be no doubt about if its the same person. i doubt anybody remembers, you probably muted the thread on twitter by now, but stackchain was just people buying sats and posting it and having fun with different themes yada yada. i was someone who was around when peter entered 'stackchain' he posted buys, assimilated with the group of people and became a part of the gang if you will.
but i say this with much certainty, i know directly of the individual who approached him with the information to which he admitted it was him. it was people within the stackchain community that then brought it to peoples attention, as someone who found out on tuesday when Psyduck posted it on twitter, i am glad the information got into the hands of someone who took action. there is rumblings that some people knew and kept his secret, which is infuriating me.
if anyone has questions, ill try an answer with what i know.
stay safe peeps!

Do you have any more sources than matching first and last names?

Definitely the same guy. I was listening on a Spaces last night.
He's a sicko and did not deserve to ever get out of jail. He mentioned he got the resources to buy bitcoin initially because he held onto Apple stock for over a decade...we now know why: he was in jail that entire time.
He also was curiously good for an older guy at pushups: Again, the jail time explains that perfectly.

Twitter account @peteransel9 was deleted, various people on the internet saying it's the same guy, and now Swan having taking him down from speaker page
