Zap to Zero Day 6

Total satsback so far: 28,495 sats (9002 sats yesterday)
does not include getting zapped over the day or territory revenue [0]
9002 sats is the biggest reward I got so far while I am doing these daily posts. Still not in the top 3 of posts or comments though. That's when the trophy will become gold:
Anyone up for bets regarding when (or if) I will reach top 1 comment or post within this month or other time periods? Or top 3?

Total zapped so far: 72.9k sats (12.5k sats yesterday)
@Undisciplined in the top 5 now again but @siggy47 and me are still in front of him. Also, I wonder if I am motivating people to zap more so they show up in this screenshot. Was this my plan all along with this streak? Is this all that SN needs to make people zap more? Just by rewarding the top X spenders via a low-effort daily screenshot in which they appear?
However, all I can say to this that I am not that smart but I am also not that dumb; similar to what Coca-Cola President Don Keough said regarding the disastrous launch of New Coke on July 10, 1985 :
“The simple fact is that all the time and money and skill poured into consumer research on the new Coca-Cola could not measure or reveal the deep and abiding emotional attachment to original Coca-Cola felt by so many people,” Keough admitted. The blunder was so colossal that some thought it must have been an intentional marketing gimmick. “Some cynics say that we planned the whole thing,” Keough said. “The truth is we’re not that dumb and we’re not that smart.”

XP points gained so far: +22 (+3 from yesterday)
Nothing special to mention today. Just learned that using LND subscriptions in the backend for faster invoice confirmation might not be that hard. Currently, we poll every 5 seconds (since that's very easy to do) to check if an invoice was paid. If the invoice is older than 5 minutes, than we only poll every 60 seconds.
But with LND subscriptions, we're able to confirm invoices basically in real time. We only need to also use subscriptions in the frontend. Currently, we poll every second in the frontend.
This is required for a good UX when we release our first iteration on self-custodial wallets using Bitcoin Connect. We really want to stay or get as close to the current UX regarding zaps.
This is becoming kind of a daily dev log.

[0] maybe I should include them by also using the calendar for stacked and not only spent
You may in fact be doing more to increase zapping than the rest of us have managed so far.
Leading by a narcissistically public example may be paying off.
Also, I really need to increase my SN activity level or else I'm going to enter a fiscal death spiral.

But hey, you will always be the one who enlightened me that zapping more pays out more. And I notice you lead by example: 286 sats per click 👍

Down to 277 today, @ekzyis's little experiment is taking a toll.

Honestly, this friendly zapping competition is fun to watch haha

You say this after I zapped you 286 additional sats on your previous reply, how convenient, lol

A true stacker would base their zaps on value, not reciprocity.

Let me break my personal record of 8 days with the cowboy hat first haha

It took me a long time to stop losing my cowboy hat in the 8-10 day range. With dedication and hard work, you too can accomplish this feat.

There might be some truth in there

I figured that would sting a little.

These writeups are so good.
reply
Maybe I should do more write-ups then

Well done. You show how easy it is to initiate a new habit/tradition if one is clear and consistent

In Chinese, we have a saying: regardless of white cat or black cat, a cat that catches a mouse is a good cat.
As long as you get it done!
