Agree, but - serious question - is it actually practically possible?
Even on SN, those services are frequently linked to. Often via nitter, invidious, etc. But isn't using those still consumption?

I differentiate between 'consumption ' and 'use' of these utilities.
Use is utilizing them to a productive end.
Consumption is when it's a feed bag stuck on my face like a monster

Agree. It's the algorithm/doomscrolling that's the problem. I will follow the occasional Twitter link but I no longer have an account so It doesn't suck me in.
