Lot of people, including myself struggle to identify where to post. And some posts might also cover multiple topics... it takes time!
Imagine a newbie, clicking first on the main dropdown, select a territory, click again to unfold the description... figure out that ~crypto is not what thought ad restart the whole process again!
solution: it will be nice if we could have, especially for new comers or first-time-visiting that specific territory, the description already unfolded. It will be also nice to have it visible across the various tabs like top and recent, not just on hot
We're planning to make it visible in the post form but some descriptions might be too long. I'll try to get the UX to a point today such that it can be merged.

Logo and bio at top of territory just like on user home pages is the way to go in my opinion.

It will probably get annoying quick if it's too "in your face". At least that's what I am thinking.
Isn't the description stackers only have to read once? Assuming you don't change it a lot.
And isn't having it in the post form the most important? Since that's where you actually make the decision where to post?

I agree it should be visible (or accessible/foldable with one click) especially for newbie's freebies

I will say a description and guidelines of the territory should be provided to stackers
