The AMA from yesterday has 65 comments and 42k upvotes and the algorithm sorts it to 12th place. I feel like the algo punishes age (only 1 day) too much and doesn't value interactions (65 comments!!) enough.
The germans shut off multiple nuclear reactors over the last couple of years and now they have to power up coal powered plants to meet the demand 🤡 I hope we see a huge push for nuclear energy all over Europe over the next 5-10 years
I cant help but think that people in power like to do whats wrong because in their mind there is no point in having power over others just to do whats right. So not expecting a push for nuclear energy any time soon unless a significant adversary presents itself that threatens the power of EU. And then it might be too late, but lets see.
Can we talk about renewables? Because technically oil and gas is renewable is just takes a few hundred years to form :) But gas and oil are quite natural substances and 90%+ of oil spills are broken down by bacteria and quite fast too
Going to work on making the “users” analytics better today, then probably go back to working on the trust algo.
Deeper insights would actually be awesome 👍
Got an old gaming laptop of mine to work again. Soon to be my new lightning node.
Yesterday, Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, SN topped its previous all-time high for daily uniques: 1,176.
https://plausible.io/stacker.news?period=day&date=2022-06-22
The previous high was at 1,154 daily unique visitors, which occurred on Monday, May 23rd. So this ATH beat the previous ATH by just under 2%.
And today (Thursday) is already at 1,150 with several hours to go yet -- so likely today will be the new record high for daily uniques.
Shows a good boost to traffic from the AMAs.

Algo doesn't consider comments - only upvotes. The problem is only 25 users upvoted that post ... Users aren't upvoting enough.

My bet is on renewables going brrrrr in the next 10y.
And Bitcoin making them insanely more profitable only reinforces my belief in this.

A few million years, by natural means.
