I don't think it's the best solution because SN uses BIP23 (Long-form Content) and some Nostr clients don't support it. Maybe it's just a matter of time

You mean NIP and yes, after your edit timer ran out, crossposting as kind 1 events shouldn't be a problem.
We're using NIP-23 because the event kind that is defined in there supports edits.
